Read what some past campers/parents have said about the DRIVE Camps:

"I thought DRIVE without a doubt was the best camp I have gone to. During the 5 weeks, I made huge progressions in my game and all the coaches did a phenomenal job of teaching and encouraging the players. The attitude and atmosphere at the camp was always so positive and it made it an awesome basketball environment to learn from some of Canada's best. I think every player there got better."

Lucian Sauciuc: - DRIVE University Fall '05 MVP, Now a DRIVE Coach

"DRIVE is the best camp I have ever attended. I would recommend it to anyone who is trying to step their game up or just to have fun. The coaches are very friendly and they make the camp fun for everyone."

Kyle Grewal: Enver Creek/UCFV - DRIVE University Spring '05 MVP

"Honestly I think DRIVE was the best camp I have ever been to. I'm glad I was able to go and I can't wait until the next camp! DRIVE helped my game so much. Coming to DRIVE allowed me to see how much work has to be done so I can be the best! I used to think that all basketball camps were the same but DRIVE was different. They have great coaches who love basketball and demonstrate that passion to us kids. All the drills and stations are creative and allow for me to work on game situations. DRIVE is the BEST!"

Andrew Brown: Grade 10 -Brittania

Complete Player Camp 2007

"Thanks to DRIVE Basketball, our daughter, Josie, regained her confidence on the court. Your course is an excellent blend of conditioning, skills, information, games and encouragement. We felt that you knew Josie as an individual, not just a number! The coaches at DRIVE are knowledgeable, fun, dedicated and kind - an awesome combination of qualities and people. Josie look forward to participating in future camps! Thanks, DRIVE!"

Bob and Mary-Jo Ohl: Parents of Josie Ohl - Gr. 12 Lord Tweedsmir

"DRIVE has created an incredible impression on my son. Not only has his love for the game continued to grow, but also his understanding and willingness to condition his body so he gets better at the game. You've been great role models. Thank you for that!"

DRIVE Summer Camps 2010

DRIVE Basketball is excited to announce our 2010 DRIVE Summer Camps. This will be our 6th Summer running our DRIVE Summer Camps. We are extremely excited to build on the success of last summer camps and plan to continue to improve the overall quality of our programs this Summer.

We will be providing Summer Camps in multiple formats to achieve optimal development for all the athletes in our Programs. The camps will be split up amongst ages, skill, positions and the specific needs of a particular group.

The Coaches

The DRIVE Summer camps will be run by DRIVE Head Coaches Pasha Bains and Chad Clifford.

Pasha is a former BC AAA MVP, NCAA Division 1 Player (Clemson), CIS Player of the Year (2004), two-time CIS Scoring Champion and is the All-Time leading scorer in BC AAA Tournament History. He has been named "Best Player of the 1990s", "All-Time Richmond Athlete" and "Best Coach". He has a Masters Degree in Coaching Science and has over 10 years of experience running instructional camps for youth. This will be his 6th Summer as Head Coach of the DRIVE Summer Camps. He specializes in creating a positive motivational climate that pushes each athlete to strive for his or her optimal performance.

Chad is a former BC AAA MVP, NCAA Division 1 Player (St. Francis) and CIS Divisional   All-Star. He has a degree in Human Kinetics from UBC. He also has over 10 years of experience running instructional camps for youth and this will be his 6th Summer as Head Coach of the DRIVE Summer Camps. He also emphasizes a positive learning atmosphere that pushes each athlete to achieve their best.

DRIVE LEAGUE PLAY

Each camper will be placed on a team in a respective league (NBA, NCAA, NIT) according to age and skill.

DRIVE STRENGTH AND CO-ORDINATION

DRIVE Summer Camps are unique in the sense that they combine on-court basketball training with highly specialized fitness and co-ordination training. Athletes will perform a "Dynamic Warm-up" which includes running mechanic training, overall co-ordination training and specific strength exercises to enhance campers overall athleticism. Campers will also do exercises to help prevent injuries that are common in youth (patellar tendonitis).
