"I thought Drive without a doubt was the best camp I have gone to. During the 5 weeks, I made huge progressions in my game and all the coaches did a phenomenal job of teaching and encouraging the players. The attitude and atmosphere at the camp was always so positive and it made it an awesome basketball environment to learn from some of Canada's best. Isaac did an unbelievable job with the dynamic warm up and I think every player there got better."

New Balance Athlete of the Month: Lucian Sauciuc
Lucian Sauciuc is our New Balance Athlete of the Month. Lucian was most recently named to the 1st All-Star team at the North Shore Invitational as he helped guide his team to the first place finish. He also recently completed DRIVE University, where he spent 8 hours of his weekends working hard on his skills with his fellow campers. For his dedication and commitment in improving his game Lucian was awarded the Most Valuable Player at the University. We would like to salute Lucian and wish him the best of luck for his up and coming senior season.
DRIVE recently had a chance to sit down and ask the standout senior his thoughts of DRIVE University.
DRIVE: Why did you choose to attend DRIVE University?
LS: I chose to attend Drive because I have seen that the coaches there are all great players and I knew that they had a lot of good information to give out. I have also been following the website and have seen many good players go out and I am very glad I went.
DRIVE: What did you think of DRIVE?
LS: I thought Drive without a doubt was the best camp I have gone to. During the 5 weeks, I made huge progressions in my game and all the coaches did a phenomenal job of teaching and encouraging the players. The attitude and atmosphere at the camp was always so positive and it made it an awesome basketball environment to learn from some of Canada's best. Isaac did an unbelievable job with the dynamic warm up and I think every player there got better.
DRIVE: How did it help prepare you for your upcoming season?
LS: The camp was perfect because it was just before teams start practicing and it gets you so prepared for the season. All the physical training done has helped my athleticism a great deal and Pasha, Chad and Mason all teach you game moves they themselves use so it was awesome to try to apply some of them to my game.
This past summer Lucian ran with Next Level Athletics traveling across America to participate in the top AAU tournaments across the country. Last season he helped guide the Centaurs to a 2nd place finish at the Fraser Valley’s and an automatic berth to the provincials. This year he looks to lead a talented Centennial squad back to the promise land.
DRIVE would like to wish Lucian and his Centennial teammates the best of luck this upcoming season.
