ASSISTANT COACH: CASEY ARCHIBALD

Casey is currently in his 5th year of studies at UBC, where he is a member of the Varsity basketball team.  Casey has been a member of the UBC Varsity team since 2002. In the 2004-2005 Season, Casey was a league all-star and was fourth in conference scoring with 20.4 points per game, fourth in field goals (84.2 per cent), ninth in three-point percentage (39.2) and first in three-pointers made (3.1 per game).  In the 2003-2004 season, Casey was also a league all-star after making the all-rookie team in 2002-03. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard finished sixth in conference scoring (16.9 points per game), third in three-pointers made (2.45 per game) and eighth in free-throw percentage (81.6 per cent).  Prior to UBC, Casey had a prolific high school career at Salmon Arm Secondary.  He was a two-time member of B.C.'s provincial all-star team (2000,2001), and also participated with Canada's Jr.National team in the summer of 2002.  In 2001, Casey led his upstart Salmon Arm Golds to a fifth place finish at the AAA Provincial Championships.  For the tournament, Casey finished 1st in scoring (29.5ppg) and was named a Tournament all-star.

Casey is currently pursuing a bachelor of arts in HKIN specializing in Sports Management at UBC. He has loads of experience working with young prospects and conducting his own clinics.  Known as the 'Shot Doctor,' Casey has coached at several DRIVE Basketball camps including the 2005 Spring DRIVE University.  Casey has also been head coach of UBC's summer camps, as well as running his own camps and clinics in his native Salmon Arm.  Casey's intricate knowledge of the game and his overall enthusiasm brings a unique dynamic to DRIVE basketball camps as he is always a camp favorite.
