HEAD COACH: CHAD CLIFFORD
Chad is Head Coach and Co-Founder of DRIVE Basketball. He is currently in his 4th year of studies at UBC, where he is a completing his degree in Human Kinetics. Chad was a member of the Varsity basketball team at UBC (2005/06) that had completed a perfect 20-0 reagular season in Canada West play and earned the Pacific Division title. Prior to UBC, Chad spent the 2003-2004 season playing for Simon Fraser University. At SFU, Chad was the team’s second leading scorer (16.5ppg) and finished among the top 10 in Canada-West scoring, three point shooting, and free-throw percentage. Prior to SFU, Chad was a two-year letterman at St. Francis University in Pennsylvania, where he led the team in three point shooting. Chad also spent a season in Ohio where he was named to the All-State high school team. In high school, Chad won the 1999 AAA MVP while leading the White Rock Christian Warriors to the AAA Provincial title.
Chad has also been able to use his interests in Coaching and basketball in his program in Human Kinetics at UBC. He is currently completing a B.H.K. with coursework in Sports Psychology, Sport Management and Anatomy and Physical development. He has run PHENOM Basketball camps since the summer of 2002 and has experience running camps at St.Francis University, SFU, and the University of British Columbia. Chad was the assistant coach for the Under-17 Boys Provincial team in the summer of 2004, and is an active coach with the DRIVE elite program.
