ASSISTANT COACH: SEAN STEWART

Sean is currently in his 5th year at UBC where he is a member of the Mens Varsity Basketball team.  At SFU, Sean was a member of the SFU Varsity Basketball team from 2002-2004.  During his time at SFU, Sean was among team leaders in Points, Rebounds, Assists, 3 point%, Steals, and Blocks.  He averaged 13.9 ppg, 6.7 rpg, and 3.0 apg, during the 2004 season, and 8.0 ppg, 5.7 rpg, 2.6 apg, while helping SFU win the 2003-2004 Regular Season Pacific Division Title.  During his time at SFU, Sean was known as a "Point Forward," because of his ability to handle the ball and create opportunities for his teammates.  During his SFU career, Sean also displayed great flexibility and durability.  He was the only player to start every game during the 2003-2004 season, and started at three different positions during his time at SFU.  Prior to SFU, Sean had a stellar high school career at White Rock Christian Academy.  He was a member of the 1999 AAA Provincial Championship team, the 2001 AAA Runner-Up, and 2002 AAA 3rd Place finishing team.  He was a two-time AAA Provincial All-Star at WRCA as well as a two-time NIKE All-Canadian.

Sean is currently pursuing a bachelor of arts at SFU.  He has extensive experience in coaching at various different levels and camps.  He has worked as a camp counsellor at Simon Fraser University Camps, Jay Triano's Pentinction Basketball Camp, Basketball BC Summer Camps and White Rock Christian Academy Summer Camps.  In addition, Sean has been an active coach with DRIVE Basketball camps since the summer of 2003. He has also worked several 'Station 11's' at DRIVE University, where he is known for his Post Fundamentals from A to Z station.
