DRIVE Basketball League (DBL) - Winter 2011 schedule

Red Division 
- Athletes entering grades four, five, and six will get the opportunity to train once or twice a week as well as play in one game a week.
- The 4-on-4 league is designed to encourage more "touches" for each player and to have proper spacing on the court to allow for better ball movement and player movement.
- This model is based on the European style of play where players are encouraged to have continuous motion and good spacing on the basketball court. This Division has an equal play rule in effect to allow for maximum participation from its players.
- This League is for players in Gr.4-6
White Division
- Athletes entering grades seven and eight and will get the opportunity to train once or twice a week as well as play in one game a week.
- The DRIVE White Division is for intermediate to advanced players and is designed to prepare each player for the Fall and Summer AAU season.
- This 5-on-5 League with two 20 minute running time halves and equal play until the last 5 minutes of the game.
- Rules are sent to all registered players.
- This League is for players in Gr.7/8
Black Division
- Athletes entering grades eight and nine and will get the opportunity to train once or twice a week as well as play in one game a week.
- The Black Division of DBL will be a 5-on-5 League with two 20 minute running time halves and equal play until the last 5 minutes of the game.
- The Black Division is a competitive league that will help prepare all participants for their school and club seasons.
- Rules are sent to all registered players.
- This League is for players in Gr.8-9
- Game Schedule - Sundays
LeaguE FORMAT
Teams in all divisions will have 10 regular season games (which will determine the seeding for the playoffs) and the league will end with a championship weekend for all the divisions. At the conclusion of the playoffs there will be a League MVP and All-Stars for each division.
