(Pictured: Sinclair Brown has been an intricate part of Argyle success the past 2 seasons.  He has won numerous all-stars and is currently leading his team to an undefeated record this season.  Here he takes it the hoop strong against New West's Hermon Tesfaghebriel in HSBC action.)

"SINCY" - SINCLAIR BROWN SENIOR FORWARD ARGYLE PIPERS

DRIVE would like to introduce everyone to the versatile 6’8’’ forward Sinclair Brown. “Sincy,” as his teammates call him is one of the top talents in BC and has helped lead his Argyle team to an undefeated record so far. They started their season off by winning the HSBC tournament then a weekend later the captured the North Shore Invitational and most recently the #1 team in BC won the highly prestigious Storm Holiday Classic in Washington defeating the home team by one in the finals. Sincy is having a stellar season to this point averaging just over 20 points per game and 10 rips for the North Shore squad.
This summer Sinclair spent hours a day working on his individual game focusing on getting his body stronger and developing his perimeter skills so he could help his team win another championship this year. Even though this multi-faceted player started playing ball at the age of 10 he didn’t consider himself a “basketball player” until he was in grade 9. The upside Sinclair posses is tremendous when you consider he’s only been playing the game seriously for 3 years not to mention he’s 6’8’’and athletic, now that’s scary. No wonder his favorite player is Kevin Garnett winning mentality and his ability to be an inside out threat from the floor.

Sincy knows what it takes to win capturing the AAA title last season at the Agrodome. “Winning provincials was definitely my most memorable moment thus far in basketball. I was also really proud of being selected to the Nike All-Canada camp last summer.” When asked what it takes to become the best Sinclair responded, “The more I play the more I realize that you just have to love the everyday grind of getting better and enjoy the struggle of pushing yourself to constantly improve.” Sinclair is a very unselfish player who has the team first mentality that has been installed in him from his personable coach Glen Chu. “Argyle is a school with many great players running through it's history so when we were able to win it for the first time last year I think that it's just a credit to all the great players the played before us. Coach Glen helps prepare us for every game and we want to see if we can win it back to back for him.”

The entire Argyle team plays the game with the unselfishness and passion that brings the purity back to the game. Sean Burke, the all-star point guard talks about his running mate. “Sinclair Brown is an amazing player. He is the type of guy that makes the players around him better. I love playing with ‘Sincy’ because he's able to knock down his shots off penetration and he knows when it’s his moment to shine. We play well together because we both want to win so badly.”

Sincy’s future goals in basketball are clear; he wants to continue to develop as an all around player working on whatever weakness he may have. It won’t be long until CIS Coaches will be knocking on his door asking for this big mans services. Right now all he cares about is building upon what they have already done this year and winning another championship.

DRIVE would like to wish Sinclair and his Arglye teammates the best of luck this season.
